Abstract

Literature on managament produced in Brazil suffers a strong influence from American literature according to past brazilian academic studies. Studies about the influence from French speaking countries, specially France and Canada (Québec) on brasilian academy were not identified. This paper aims to fill this blank, demonstrating the influence from these countries, measured from periodical publications and national management meetings (Enanpads) from 1995-99 and 2000-01. We also analyse the specifity of this influence, that is to say, in wich areas it is manifested explicitly. The data were treated in a comparative way since there are evidences about French speaking influence on other fields of knowledge (literature, philosophy, fashion, religion) trying to stablish links with the "french" way of seeing the world.
