Abstract

New organizations are coming in to scenery in this country. Not only associative movements, nor ONGs (Non-Governmental Organization). The new local organizations, developed from tradicional patterns of alternative ones, have an important business dimension, which gives them viability and autonomy. The Organizational Culture of such enterprises is complex and multifaceted and incorporates and reflects the elements of local culture. The Olodum Cultural Group has been adopted as an example of this new kind of organization, since it represents the negro ethnical identity and it serves as an interlocutor of the local government, at the same time, it produces and defends the local culture on the bases of an organizational business which goes beyond the national boundaries.
