Administrative reform in Brazil: past experience, current situation and prospects - a general appreciation

Abstract
É bem singular, entre as nações em desenvolvimento, a experiência brasileira no campo da reforma administrativa: começou há aproximadamente 50 anos, muito antes dos programas de assistência técnica de âmbito mundial oferecidos a tais nações pelos países industrializados e pelas organizações internacionais, a partir da década de 50.
O propósito deste estudo é: 1) analisar as influências preponderantes na reforma administrativa brasileira e seus resultados, partindo de seu início, em 1930; 2) examinar o estágio atual de desenvolvimento da reforma administrativa no país, suas tendências e perspectivas.
