Solidarity economy and its original implications for the field of organizational studies
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper discusses solidarity economy, particularly its interpretation according to economic anthropology assumptions as it has been developed by some authors — especially in France — who base themselves on the European context in which the phenomenon occurs. With the objective of identifying the possibilities of this approach to the field of organizational studies, two aspects are considered in the final part of the paper. The first one, concerning organizational practice, affects the managerial dimension. The second refers to organizational theory, in which the deconstruction of a usual perspective of the economy in order to conceive it in another way implies recognizing the importance of other rationalities influencing different concepts of the organizational practice.
