Main Article Content
Abstract
The object of this study is the psychosocial evaluation of the process of inception of peasants in the Codevasf's irrigation projects to identificate factors of motivation and restrictions in the irrigated agriculture adoption. Serge Moscovici's theoretical model on social representation guided the investigation on the social representations over agricultural practices in the irrigated areas, the social relations and other related subjects. It is conceived a typology of analysis about the way to face of those rural farmers over the irrigated Perimeters (traditional, modern and ambivalent) and its self-representations. One hundred and thirty five subjects took part in the study on a newly-harvested area and other two older ones. The results confirm the established hypothesis; psychosocial inferences are pointed and proposals at institutional level are suggested.
