Petrobrás: organização e subsidiárias

Abstract
The main purpose of the article is to examine the organizational evolution of the Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobrás. There is a description of its centralized structure in operation since 1954, and the study tries to ascertain the conditioning factors leading to the constitution of its several subsidiaries, by the end of the '60s. The process of said constitution emerges from the main body of the enterprise's strategic decisions, as well as from the paths followed by the Brazilian economic development, throughout the decade of 70, contrasting later on with de-nationalization efforts of the Collor administration.
