The incorporation of an environmental dimension in the long-term plan of the electric sector - strategic aspects
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Brazilian electric sector will, within the next few years, accomplish the vision of its long-term plan.
The authors of this study try to show the strategic character of the environmental problem, exposing it in a way which may lead to an adequate incorporation of said aspect into the public policies prevailing for the sector. They stress to that effect the points negatively appraised as concerns the Plan 2010, due to its non-strategic nature.
They proceed to point out the necessity of considering the peculiarities of a public policy when strategic questions are at stake, and finish by showing the strategic aspects introduced by the environmental dimension in the conception of a long-term plan for the electric sector.
