Action research - an option for methodological knowledge-changing organizational reality

Abstract
This article intends to demonstrate the adequacy of the action research focus as a way to analyse and intervene in public organizations.
Basic presuppositions related to methodology are presented, as well as the understanding of the meaning of action research as an specific instrument to work with organizational change.
