Resumo

O contexto atual do trabalho tem passado por transformações que têm modificado substancialmente as relações de trabalho e contribuído para o surgimento de novos arranjos organizacionais, menos hierarquizados e mais colaborativos. Esse novo ambiente requer uma abordagem diferente da liderança (Uhl-Bien, Marion, & McKelvey, 2007). A estratégia "da cenoura e do chicote” já não funciona como antigamente, particularmente com as novas gerações de trabalhadores, mais interconectados e com acesso fácil à informação.
