Abstract
This article is the first outcome of several meetings among its authors: two anthropologists and one business administrator. It represents a interdisciplinary effort to understand organizations. The hypothesis supported here is that the concepts of culture and
organization delayed to emerge in both business administration and anthropological theory. Therefore, the study of both processes motivates the spontaneow, complementarity between the two academic traditions and increases the dialogue between them.
