Abstract
Movements for preservation of the nature are showing the predatory character of our current economic model, which is a threat to the thermodynamic balance of the planet. The market-centered society turns human being into compulsive consumers, depriving them of their capacity for ethical judgment, in its substantive sense.
Respect for and conservation of the environment are inconsistent with practices which consider nature merely as an input for production.
