The decision-making process in Brazilian organizations

Abstract
This article addressed itself to the organizational decision-making process. It presents a rationale and a review of the literature on decision-making. The rationale discusses why this subject area is relevant for organizational theory and research. It also contains a description of various aspects of the current theories on decision-making which need to be c1arified in order to provide a better understanding about organizational life. The rationale also contains the Author's major questions on this subject area, a definition of terms and the author's assumptions and limitations on researching this area. The literature review addressed itself to four major aspects for organizational decision-making: objectives, strategies, communication and politics.
