Strategic planning: an instrumental at the disposal of universities?

Abstract
This paper discusse, the adjustment of the strategic planning to the universities. It analyzes the organizational peculiarities of the university (wich explain specific institutional arrangements), the charactcristics of this kind of planning (concepts, forms stages, and advantages), and, finally, the difficulties and possibilities of applying strategic planning to universities. The paper concludes for the adjustment of strategic planning tools to the university
environment, since the objective conditions and the Icgitimation of this planning activity are created in the university.
