Intemational competitiveness and environmental normalization

Abstract
Foreign trade has been pointed out as an increasingly important factor as the globalization process becomes more and more intense, since it involves public regulation and pressure from society and from the market. This paper discusses a few aspects about environmental normalization within the context of the new rules established by the Uruguay Round.
