Abstract

The logic of the power and the building of the citizenship are the focal points of this article. The contribution of both the urban social movements and the participative researchs are analysed in this process. The analysis shows the last ones as alternatives to the political parties and to the research oriented to positivism; concluding that, in spite of the limitations. There are also considerable possibilities of contribution from the urban social movements and the participative research to the construction of citizenship.
